Investment regime in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In order to identify and eliminate obstacles to investments in the current legal and regulatory regime, USAID Energy Investment Activity (USAID EIA) has created a Draft Report on the Permitting Regime and Obstacles to Investment in the Energy Infrastructure Projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Draft Report). The Draft Report shows the permitting procedures at all government levels in BiH and summarizes the key challenges focusing on legal and regulatory obstacles.

In the future, USAID EIA will focus on the update of the analysis, through the inclusion of the legal framework of lower government levels and practical examples of investments in various facilities in the selected regions in both entities. The Draft Report was presented at the Second Energy Summit in Neum, in April 2016.

The Draft report and the Presentation of the Draft report are available in English and local language.
