The Energy Community Secretariat organized the 17th Energy Efficiency Coordination Group Meeting in Belgrade, Serbia on June 6 and 7, 2018. The meeting was attended by all Energy Community contracting parties, EBRD, WB, GIZ and UNDP.
USAID EIA was invited to present the Energy Efficiency Obligation (EEO) Scheme Model for Bosnia and Herzegovina; the presentation was given by Mak Kamenica USAID DCoP. The presentation was followed by numerous questions as the regional countries are interested in implementing EEOs as well. EBRD also presented their regional work in assessing specific barriers and key success factors for implementing a successful EEO in EBRD’s Countries of Operation (covering the Energy Community).
The Energy Efficiency Coordination Group members also attended the EmBuild Final Conference “Energy efficient buildings – Plan. Invest. Renovate!”, which was held in partnership with the Energy Community. The event aims to explore how cities and municipalities can be the engine for achieving the deep renovation targets of Europe’s building stock. EmBuild supports public authorities in Southeast European countries to prepare a long-term strategy for mobilizing investment in the energy efficient renovation of the building stock.
