Mostar, November 29-30, 2018
The USAID Energy Investment Activity project (USAID EIA) presented in Mostar an Application for the comparison of electricity prices, uporedistruju.ba, which has been created jointly by USAID EIA, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC), the Regulatory Commission for Energy in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FERC) and the Regulatory Commission for Energy of Republika Srpska (RERS).
This is the first application of its type in Bosnia and Herzegovina that gives, in one place, to all electricity customers, basic information on roles in the electricity sector and provides instructions on rational consumption of electricity as well as instructions for switching suppliers.
In addition, the application provides the current electricity prices, information on all active electricity suppliers in the energy market as well as advice on how to save energy and other educational and useful information.
After the promotion of the application, representatives of the three Regulatory Commissions from Bosnia and Herzegovina had the opportunity to listen to examples of best practice of communicating with the public from the American Kentucky and Mississippi State Regulatory authorities as well as representatives of the Austrian Regulatory Commission E-Control. Training sessions were held for the representatives of the Regulatory Commissions from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
